We partner with developers, business owners, and commercial property teams to shape environments where people want to work, shop, stay, and live. We’re looking for a Senior Interior Designer who’s not just a strong creative, but a strategic thinker and team builder, someone ready to lead design and direction while helping us scale the studio's presence and influence.

Position Summary:
This is a role for an experienced designer with deep expertise in commercial interior design. You’ll lead the concept-to-completion process across workplace, mixed-use, retail, hospitality, and multifamily projects, with a strong emphasis on space planning, client management, and branded environments. You’ll be instrumental in helping NuVū scale our commercial portfolio while mentoring junior talent and owning key client relationships.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and execution of commercial interior projects, including office spaces, retail, hospitality and multi-family 

• Shape impactful design narratives that align with client goals and elevate brand identity

• Direct space planning, FF&E specs, finish selections, and full drawing sets for commercial interiors

• Collaborate closely with architects, MEP teams, consultants, and GC teams throughout construction

• Present concepts to clients and stakeholders with clarity and authority

• Support business development with design insights and participation in pitches

• Oversee hospitality, retail, and multifamily scopes—such as amenity spaces, lobby experiences, and branded guest environments—when relevant to core commercial projects

• Mentor junior designers and contribute to studio process improvement

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture

• Minimum 6 years of experience, with a strong portfolio focused on commercial projects

• Excellent skills in Revit, AutoCAD and Bluebeam 

• Knowledge of commercial building codes, ADA requirements, and industry best practices

• Clear and confident communicator with proven client-facing experience

• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to juggle multiple timelines

• NCIDQ certification preferred
